Major Duties & Responsibilities
The Sr Java Developer is responsible for assisting in the business proposal process. The Sr Java Developer regularly interacts with internal senior management and customers & provides application support for complex systems. The Sr Java Developer occasionally sets technical direction for the project/application & provides program/project leadership for Customer solutions. The Sr Java Developer occasionally develops communication plans for projects & teams with customers to assess concerns. The Sr Java Developer integrates interrelated projects and manages projects & participates. in technical planning process. The Sr Java Developer will comply with project management standards and procedures across the organization & occasionally sets technical direction for the project/application

 

The Sr Java Developer informs Customers about emerging technologies and business implications based on the project & develops intermediate and detailed schedules that support the high-level master schedule. The Sr Java Developer develops alternative proposed project plans to support new business opportunities & assist in the development of project management deliverables required to support a request for proposal or quotation. The Sr Java Developer leads in the application of the organizational change management process to facilitate a smooth Customer implementation

 

Skills and Abilities
Experience developing software in one or more of the following domains:
Enterprise Services using Java in a UNIX environment
Required: JSE, JEE, Web Services, XML
Preferred: SOA, Java/JEE Patterns, JPD (BEA WebLogic Integration)
Required: XML, JSP, HTML, Javascript
Preferred: Portlets (BEA WebLogic Portal), AJAX
Required: VXML, XML, Nuance (App Server, Voice Rec, and Text-to-Speech)
Preferred: SIP, JSP
