Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills
5+ years of solid ETL and data integration development
• Strong background in SQL Server development, with proficiency in Integration Services (SSIS, Informatica, AB Initio, etc.), Reporting Services (SSRS), Analysis Services (SSAS), stored procedure development and triggers
· 3+ years of experience in IBM DataStage , and QualityStage or similar ETL tools. Experience with SAP BO Data Services is a plus.
· Relevant efficiency of use several application languages - Perl, Java, etc.
· Experience in extracting, transforming and loading data from various sources e.g. databases, flat files etc and dealing with various formats of data including XML, JSON,CSV etc,
· Platform and/or operating system familiarity with IBM Netezza, SAP/BW, HANA, ODBC/JDBC, Oracle 10+, Web Services (REST & SOAP)
· Familiarity with reporting presentation solutions (Business Objects,SharePoint, Excel, IBM Cognos, Tableau, etc.) is highly desired.
· Be a self-starter, ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Ability to work under pressure and to independently handle multiple projects and deadlines
· Proven experience with Lean, Agile, iterative and waterfall development and project methodologies. Experience with KANBAN a plus.
· Familiarity in developing best practices and frameworks to support code management, documentation management and unit test activities.
· Background exposure with ETL architecture definition and standards
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong meeting facilitation abilities
· Experience with retail business processes preferred."
Roles and responsibility "Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, documents and maintains applications systems, working on moderately complex to highly complex work tasks or project assignments.
• Gathers, analyzes and translates business and non-functional requirements into a solution design. May lead meetings to define business requirements and technical solutions.
• Designs, develops to specifications and maintains application code in accordance with the current development and project management methodologies and practices.
• Manages work assignments according to current project methodologies or as directed.
• Prepares required documentation for the portion of work assigned.
• Consults with Quality Assurance and business analysts in the development and execution of test plans.
• Provides technical assistance and problem resolution for assigned systems. Lead resolution of production support incidents in accordance with incident management policies and procedures. Coordinate with vendors for problem resolution and change requests.
• Ensures that application changes follow change management policies and procedures.
• Provides technical guidance to ensure that installed systems are working effectively and that proposed systems will meet organization's future needs.
• Prepares periodic and ad hoc status reports for each assignment for department manager and project manager.
• Identifies and provides recommendations for system process improvements.
• May act as a source for direction, training and guidance for less experienced departmental staff.
Desirable Technical / Functional Skills
Work with different teams – Business, Solutions – BI, Portal and team of Architects to create overall BI user interface, Implement solutions with complete considerations on Infrastructure capability, performance, supportability to achieve end user business results.
