Description : We are seeking a Sr. Oracle Database Architect.
The project is expanding a major application to allow for more parallel development and several resources are needed help work with the development teams and architect solutions.
The ideal candidate will have some DBA experience, but have truly had responsibilities at the Architect level.
Experience required:
• 7-8 years or more with Oracle Databases, must include Oracle 11.i
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions - and DESIGN THOSE SOLUTIONS
• Recent experience working in Development/Testing environments - Production support experience only is not enough
• Experience articulating technical information to a non-technical audience
• Extensive recent experience in an Architecture/Design role where more than 50% of their responsibilities were Architecture-related
• Experience in Development and Production environments
• Experience with Performance Tuning and TestingExperience with OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) and DSS (Database Server Software) processing
• Understand the application development lifecycle
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal is a must
• Ability to work independently, make decisions and take initiative when needed
