Location: Columbus, OH

Duration:6 Months

Skills:

·         8+ years of experience with Oracle Database Administration (Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g & 11g)

·         Good understanding of the Oracle Database Architecture and underlying database constructs, file system structures, and schema objects, including tables, views, packages, procedures, sequences, indexes, and constraints.

·         Experience with cloning Test and Development environments from Production Oracle Database environments.

·         Experience working with Oracle Support, opening, managing, and resolving Oracle TARs.

·         Practical knowledge of Oracle Parallel Execution, including Parallel Query and Parallel DML.

·         Define and manage Database and Application security.

·         Knowledge and experience with Multi-Node and Multi-Tier Applications environments, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC); Managing Standby databases and RAC databases in a Unix environment.

·         Experience and in-depth understanding of Oracle backup and recovery methodologies.  Experience with RMAN a plus.

·         Experience in database reorganization, migration, planning capacity, Disaster Recovery and High-Availability experience (9i RAC, 10g RAC).

·         Strong in-depth experience in database performance tuning and SQL tuning.  Experience with Oracle 10g AWR and ADDM reports a plus.

·         Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming background. 

·         Unix Administration and shell scripting.

·         Excellent Verbal and Written Communications skills. Good Leadership Skills.

·         Experience with tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, custom-scripting, Toad, Precise/Indepth.
