Linux System Administrator

Ashburn, VA

Duration: 12 Months

 

Key Requirements / Job Skills (mandatory)

·         Experience installing and configuring Red Hat Linux 5.x (3+ years; RHEL 5.5 preferred)

·         Experience installing and configuring Websphere, Weblogic and/or Apache

·         Experience working with VMware/Vsphere or Experience with Network Attached Storage (NetApp 3140/6280; ONTAP 8; SnapMirroring)

·         Strong verbal and written communications skills – Must be able to understand instructions and to communicate issues to their test leads.  

·         Organized with a strong attention to detail

·         Some experience working in a  Testing, Q/A or Production environment

·         Ability to work under pressure

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel

 

Preferred Skills

·         Experience with Network Attached Storage (NetApp 3140/6280; ONTAP 8)

·         Experience setting up and configuring HP C7000 chassis with HP blade servers

·         Experience working with VMware/Vsphere

·         Experience with eTrust

·         Experience administrating MS Windows 2008 Servers

·         Experience installing and configuring file transfer software (Aspera/Signiant)

·         Experience installing and configuring video software (Rhozet/Certify)

·         Networking experience (TCP/IP, Fiber-optics, Routers, Switches, etc.)
