Service Delivery – Oracle System DBA

 

Overview:

The Leverage Midrange Database Delivery organization is seeking an individual to serve in an Oracle Systems DBA position.

Assignment will be in direct support of the multiple client.

 

Position Duties

Perform database engineering, implementation and support duties for largescale systems utilizing Oracle RDBMS (8,9,10g, 10gRAC, 11g RAC) on all UNIX platforms.

Responsibilities include software installation and maintenance, database creation and maintenance, performance monitoring and tuning, backup and recovery, database sizing, customer consultation for requirements

gathering, DBMS infrastructure creation and support, problem determination, and 24 x 7 oncall support rotation.

 

Required Skills:

•  Oracle System DBA experience
• Degree or equivalent experience required
• Process and best practice oriented
• Highly motivated and considered a self starter
• Demonstrated track record for thought leadership
• Solid relationship building skills
• Solid teamwork and multitasking skills
• Easily adapts to change
• Solid systems engineering and architecture skills
• Communicate well both verbally and in writing
• Solid research and documentation skills
• Midrange technical knowledge (UNIX, storage, networking, shell scripting)
