Position: PeopleSoft DBA
Location: Corning, NY
Duration: 6-12 months
Responsibilities Include:
• Responsible for administration of PeopleSoft Tools and Applications.
• Responsible for providing daily system support and maintenance on PeopleSoft Finance/Supply Chain, HCM/HR, Portal, and EPM applications.
• Responsible for PeopleSoft infrastructure installations and configurations.
• Responsible for environment maintenance, database refreshes, change management, production support.
• Responsible for monitoring application and web server tiers running on VMWare ESX Server.
• Collaborate with other support groups (e.g. DBA, Platform, etc.) to establish proper support of PeopleSoft applications per corporate mandates.
• Ready to provide on-call support nights and weekends
Skills Required:
Must have 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator for PeopleSoft projects.
• Version 9.x and PeopleTools 8.49 or 8.50 experience with a strong understanding of PeopleSoft Internet Architecture on a Windows/Linux/Oracle platform
• Must have strong knowledge and understanding of PeopleSoft integration tools like Integration Broker, messaging, Component Interface, etc.
• Bachelors degree required
• Demonstrated knowledge in PeopleSoft application and architecture
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• PeopleSoft certification is a plus
• Competence using remote control software, such as DameWare, T/S
o Excellent communication and process skills
o Excellent team player
o Excellent troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge.
o Need an Experienced person who can hit the ground running
Skills Desired:
o Oracle Database Administration
o Experience with Performance Tuning and Refreshes
o knowledge of RAC, CRS, StandbyE
o Experience with routine Database Management tasks – Backups, Alerting, Monitoring etc.
o Knowledge of Enterprise Management, Grid Control
o Excellent communication and process skills
o Excellent team player
o Excellent troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge.
o Need an Experienced person who can hit the ground running
