General Description
Assist the Test Architect in leading the Testing of the In-sourcing Customer
Reporting Project (ICR). Interface with the offshore test lead and offshore test
team in the execution of daily responsibilities, including Test Planning, Test
Cases development and Test Execution, Defect Management for manual and automated
testing.
Skill/experience requirements General
• Highly developed communication skills – verbal and written
• Ability to assess a situation and create solutions
• Proven coordination, leadership, negotiating and planning skills,
specifically working with offshore teams
• Specific quality assurance and software testing experience
• 5-10 years experience in Software Testing and procedures related to QA and Software Testing
• 5+ years of leading Test Teams
• 5+ years of working with HP Suite of Test Tools
• Familiar with industry best practices e.g. CMMi (Capability Maturity Model,
ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board), IEEE, QAI
Technical Skills:
• Insurance experience ( Insurance preferred)
• Specific experience in leading testing of Data Warehouse projects and proficiency in SQL scripting and other Database Testing tools.
• Well developed understanding HP Quick Test Professional and HP Quality Center and the integration of the two to support test planning, execution and reporting
• Interface with Test Architect, Offshore Test Lead, Business Analysts, developers and project management
• Proficient in the use HP Quality Center for Test Planning, Execution , Defect Tracking and Reporting form Quality Center
• Proficient in using HP Quick Test Professional for automating and executing Test Cases
Quality assurance and software testing experience:
· Software Development Life Cycles e.g. Agile, Iterative & role of quality assurance and software testing in software development
· Requirements analysis, documentation, and review
· Testing process and methodology
· Proficient at Test Strategy/Plan development
· Proficient at Detailed Test Planning
· Proficient at Test Execution and management including Defect Tracking and Reporting
· Understanding of test environmental definition & planning
· Proficient un reporting Test Status and Test Metrics
· Understanding of Change Management processes
Excellent estimating skills
• QA Certification and/or test tool certification a plus
