Location:- Kansas City , MO

Position Type:- Contract

Rate:- Open

Duration:- 3 to 4 months

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The candidate hired for this position will help identify and implement new features in Sencha touch 2.0, Architect making it easier to use. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Identify and implement features in Sencha Touch 2.0, hands on experience in using MVC model of Sencha, a rapid development environment for building HTML5 based applications with Sencha Touch and Ext JS.
Create tests, demos and documentation to help users take advantage of new features.
Identify and fix bugs.
Work in a collaborative environment with product management and QA.
Be involved in the Sencha community.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor degree, with a major in computer science or another technical discipline such as engineering preferred. 
Minimum of 3 years of development experience including
Object-oriented JavaScript; Significant development experience developing complex applications is a significant plus
Ext JS and Sencha Touch; or experience working with similar toolkits such as Flex/ActionScript, Swing or other web platforms.
Working in an Agile development environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: 

Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS, HTML5 and CSS3.
Building  web applications
Ability to achieve results while operating independently with minimal guidance.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Creative problem solving abilities with solid analytical and sound technical knowledge
