Job Description:

·         Provide Perl expertise to multiple applications migrating web based applications from 32 to 64 bit Perl.

Skill Level:                        

·         Senior (7+ yrs)

Skills:                        

·         Client requires senior level (7-10 years) PERL developer for web site upgrade on six month contract.

Required skills :        

·         PERL and CGI scripting on Linux

·         PERL database modules and interaction

·         SQL and database queries/updates in Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2

·         HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Strong experience with most of these areas: 

·         web development practices

·         web interface design

·         system and application security and hardened systems

·         web servers (apache and tomcat) on Linux

·         source code control and change management procedures

·         software development life cycle

·         performance testing and scaling

·         multiple browser testing and support

·         electronic commerce

·         electronic publishing

·         conversion of Solaris web apps to Linux
