Title: QA Tester - with some .net
Location: Dublin OH
Duration: 6 months Contract
The client needs US Citizens or GC holders.
Responsibilities:
- To assist in the creation/execution of test plans and test scripts.
- To ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through to software release.
- To provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the release schedule and the quality requirements.
- To reproduce, log and track issues within a Defect/Feature tracking system.
- To be responsible in testing web applications, business logic and back end testing processes.
Skills:
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum 4+ years of testing experience using software development life cycles.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding written and oral communication abilities.
- Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Proven experience of testing complex user interfaces.
- Detailed knowledge of manual testing policies.
- Firm understanding of Quality Assurance practices and standards.
- Testing experience with .NET applications using SQL Server and must be able to perform basic queries with an understanding of database schemas.
- Proficient in web based related applications such Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.
- Experience using software defect tracking systems.
- Helpful - some experience using automation tools.
- Helpful - experience testing web applications produced using Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Helpful - some coding experience in C#/HTML/JavaScript/CSS/ASP.NET.
