Job Description
- Job Responsibilities
We require a software engineer to work on developing IT solutions for LOB needs. You will work closely with the database team, internal clients, and developers throughout the entire SDLC. You will become a subject matter expert, and offer the development team with useful insight concerning system use and capabilities.
Role:
- Design, develop, test and document software solutions
- Work with domain lead and project stakeholders to document project scope and functional requirements for Investment Solutions
- Analyze and research technical issues, and identify alternative solutions and recommendations
- Innovation – Identify strategic capabilities and quantify the impact of deploying new processes and technologies
- Assist domain lead with management of external development and testing resources
- Assist domain lead with enforcement of deadlines, change management and business transformation
- Work with other developers to establish and improve best practices and documentation standards

Significant development experience in .NET and have the ability to communicate with a diverse set of business users in a global organization.
Knowledge and/or experience using software design patterns and best practices in implementing enterprise solutions is a major plus.
Capable of understanding complex data objects and data models and have a diverse technology background, excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to successfully manage complex business issues
- Familiarity with Financial Services, Venture Capital/Private Equity industry preferred
- Experience with Agile Methodology
- 5+ developing software solutions using .NET
- Experience working with a version control system (TFS preferred)
- Preferred
- Familiarity with Entity Frameworks and Inversion of Control
- Frameworks (Spring.NET, NHibernate)
- Experience writing and consuming web services
- Experience writing automated unit tests and continuous integration
- Experience writing technical documentation (design documents, solution architecture diagrams, etc.)
- Experience documenting business processes
