Role :  Oracle Database Architects with developer DBA Skills

Location : Denver, CO

Duration : Long Term

Only GC /Citizens

 

 

Job Description:

 

•        5+ years Oracle experience including Oracle RAC

•        Database tuning, query optimization, and performance analysis

•        Database modeling

•        Capacity analysis and recommendations

•        Ability to review and provide feedback on data solutions designed by developers

•        Direct and/or implement backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover

•        Install and test patches and upgrades

•        Experience with security and encryption

•        Evaluate and recommend new database technologies

•        5+ years experience developing commercial software applications in a structured environment

•        Experience in developing high volume commercial web applications

•        Experience in developing web services and developing within SOA architectures

•        Exceptional architecture, design, implementation, and testing skills

•        Working across organizations to coordinate implementation of solutions

•        Leading and mentoring less experienced technicians to achieve goals

•        Ability to create shell scripts and task automation

•        Contributes to project proposals and RFP responses including providing estimation, resource requirements and high level solution architecture

•        BS in Computer Science or related technical field

•        Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

•        Work independently on complex tasks

•        Produce well-written technical documentation

•        Work within a structured development environment that includes design and code reviews, version control, and automated unit testing. Follow a defined product development process.

•        Communicates appropriately up and down the management chain

 

The candidate should have experience with any of the following tools used in our Java-based organization:

 

•        Subversion and CVS

•        Eclipse

•        Robot, JUnit

•        Rally

•        Linux as a target platform

•        Windows as a development environment

•        Oracle 10 and 11, Oracle RAC

 

Experience and skills desired:

 

•        Design and implementation of data warehouses

•        Experience with Agile development methodologies, especially Scrum

•        Experience with Test Driven Development and automated testing

•        Experience with Healthcare application development is a plus

•        Experience with Analytic Reporting and GIS application a plus
