-MUST HAVE SKILLS At least two years of experience with:
a. Performance testing with Storage platforms
b. Scripting and automation using shell scripts, python and ruby.
c. Troubleshooting issues related to performance clients and network connectivity.
2. Understanding of CPU usage stats, Memory usage stats, I/O bandwidth stats and histograms is highly desirable.
3. Experience with designing and scripting performance benchmarks for scalable storage systems is highly desirable.
4. Experience with Oprofile, Gprof and other data path performance profiling tools would be a plus
5. Knowledge of networking and file system protocols e.g. Fibre Channel, TCP/IP, SCSI, NFS, CIFS, VTL would be a plus.
Roles & Responsibilities Responsible for executing performance testing using data generators as well as end-to-end performance testing.
2. Responsible for troubleshooting issues related to network connectivity and client OS.
3. Responsible for improving upon existing performance infrastructure by scripting and automation thus bringing down the overall failure rate.
4. Responsible for analyzing performance regressions and bottlenecks between releases or across platforms.
5. Independently work across the team to gather performance testing requirements and maintain a very organized repository of results.
6. Provide accurate and detailed schedule estimates for testing efforts.
7. Interface with other functional areas such as Development, Support and QA.
