Java Tech Lead
Location: St. Louis, MO
Duration: 6 months
Rate: Open
· The candidate will work with department and enterprise architecture teams to define application architecture and design that integrates seamlessly into the existing product pipeline.
· As technical lead, the candidate will have the responsibility of leading the development team delivering the implementation.
The primary responsibilities will include the technical leadership of a development team in the construction and deployment of software components.
· Additional responsibilities will include iteration planning, technology selection, developer mentoring and ensuring team adherence to department best practices. Secondary responsibilities will include leading planning meetings, design reviews, code reviews and other project-related meetings.
Required Skills/Experience:
· Minimum of a B.S. or M.S. in computer science or equivalent experience/education
· Minimum of 6 years of experience as a programmer/analyst in a technical or scientific environment
· Minimum of 2 years of experience with automated testing
· Experience in software development utilizing Java (6+ years), Oracle (4+ years Oracle or other SQL)
· Past track record of leading quality/agile initiatives such as code reviews, continuous integration, test driven development and refactoring
· Experience with high level GO4 design patterns (above and beyond J2EE patterns)
· Experience with Spring, Hibernate and XML
Desired Skills/Experience:
· Maven
· Web Services
· Event driven architecture (JMS, ESB)
· BPM
· Rules engines
