Solution Manager Engineer
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: Longterm
Responsibilities:
The candidate must have over 5 years of experience (Expert) in SAP Basis Administration/SAP Solution Manager. Participates in SME business communications to understand business requirements and apply experience. She/he will participate in the design and development of SAP software solutions based on client requirements. She/he will participate in the Solution Manager Deployment program.
REQUIREMENTS
§ Be part of the Global SAP Engineering team.
§ Follow instructions from SAP Engineering team.
§ Set up of managed systems in Solution Manager
§ Operational SAP Basis and SAP Solution Manager administration
§ Help as an assigned resource in the Solution Manager configuration and Hardware up-scale project
§ BASIS experience across different SAP products such as BW/BI, ERP, PI, APO/SCM, Etc.
§ MUST have strong experience in: upgrade, implementation, installation and support and enhancement packages implementations, kernel patching, DB/OS patching, language installs, hardware migrations, DB refreshes, and security.
§ Good knowledge of UNIX (e.g. HPUX)
§ Good knowledge of Oracle
SOFT SKILLS:
§ Proficient in English with good communications skills
§ Documentation skills
§ Work with remote and multi-cultural teams
§ Ability to independently trouble-shoot operational issues and solve them
§ Excellent planningskills
§ Ability to work remotely and in multicultural environment
