SAP Functional Consultant

Location: Houston, TX

5-8 years of SAP support experience in a large-sized SAP environment

•      Experience with Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP),and Materials Management (MM) modules is essential.

•      Extensive experience in SAP production support on Unix and Oracle

•      Hands on experience with SAP change management processes

•      Fundamental knowledge of Network concepts

•      Ability to analyze performance issues with SAP R/3, SAP BW, and SAP SCM platforms (e.g. analyzing long running jobs or reports)

•      Knowledgeable with SAP Business Warehouse

•      SAP certification(s) & ITIL certification are a plus

•      Knowledge of Sap Business Process Monitoring (BPM) tool

•      Must be a team player.

•      Available for 24x7 on-call support and after hours

•      Must be a team player.

•      Available for 24x7 on-call support and after hours maintenances

Strong verbal and written communication skills and technical leadership skills. Strong experience with infrastructure environments (e.g. operating system, hardware, data center, security, network, voice, end user and server / web related applications). Strong experience with business Information Technology (IT) applications (e.g. supply chain, customer relationship mgmt., HR, finance). Strong experience in scripting and / or programming language. Strong experience with implementation, problem analysis and solutioning of infrastructure and business application environments. Must be able to analyze unplanned downtime events and recommend measures to reduce these events.  Define plans and actions to sustain availability goals from an application / infrastructure perspective. Manage and facilitate unplanned downtime events with IT partners.  Foundational or expert knowledge and experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Exhibits a high level of initiative and integrity. Strong problem solving, priority setting, and collaboration skills. Good organizational and analytical skills. Possess creative ability, consulting skills, leadership qualities, credibility and self-confidence. Influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team. Demonstrated technical leadership skills. Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
