Role : System Administrator VMware

Location :Boston MA

Interview :face to face required

 

Job Description :

Ø  We are a leading worldwide provider of Cloud based extended enterprise collaboration solutions.

Ø  Our products are used by 800 of the Fortune 1000 as well as many international companies.

Ø  This position reports to the Release Engineering Director and will be responsible for providing system support for the QC lab.

 

 

About the Team

Ø  The Release Engineering Team is chartered with creating builds, deploying builds, administering Software Development tools and providing support for environments.

 

 

Responsibilities:

Ø  Responsible for ongoing management and maintenance of the QC Automation lab, including:

Ø  VMware assets

Ø  Windows assets

Ø  UNIX assets

Ø  Perform necessary system maintenance in accordance with company change management policies.

Ø  Ability to troubleshoot complex issues

Ø  Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization

Ø  Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable

Ø  Document existing lab infrastructure

 

 

Qualifications:

Ø  Education - BS in IS or related field

Ø  Experience in a SaaS environment

Ø  Strong experience with Windows VM hosted on VMware ESX

Ø  Experience with Horizon View

Ø  Experience with Windows Administration (virus scanning, DHCP, etc.)

Ø  Knowledge with mail servers (Zimbra)

Ø  Knowledge of the Solaris Operating System

Ø  Knowledge of Oracle virtualization techniques including LDOMs and Zones

Ø  Strong experience with Linux

Ø  Good scripting and automation techniques

Ø  Good understanding of network components

Ø  ZFS, NFS, RSYNC, DNS

Ø  Strong communication skills are required

Ø  Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

 

 

Desired Qualifications

Ø  Knowledge of Oracle OEM OpsCenter

Ø  Knowledge of Oracle OVM

Ø  Knowledge of Oracle UFS Storage devices

Ø  Experience with Icinga (Nagios) and Manage Engine

Ø  Experience with working in a hosted environment a plus
