Job Title : Performance Tester
Location : Trenton, NJ
Duration : 12 months
Citizenship Status: US Citizen preferred; Green Card will be considered
Position Details
As the Performance Tester, candidates must perform the following:
· Develops data driven test automation scripts and executes performance and load testing of client products
· Uses RPT to design and execute load and performance tests against Web applications, web services and SQL Server.
· Knowledge of performance bottlenecks and end-to-end performance web performance measures (server response time, throughput, network latency, etc.)
· Ability to code basic load test scripts
· An understanding of networking and web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, jsp, asp, etc.
· Knowledge of web page composition (static vs. dynamic elements, browser behavior, etc.)
· Some experience in collecting data, performing analysis on that data, and preparing reports
Education/Experience Requirements: MUST HAVE
· Strong performance testing experience, including ability to use load tools to monitor, gather, and report application performance on Windows machines or a Linux machine
· Experience delivering business value on time and with highest quality, even under aggressive release schedules
· Possess strong test planning, test scenario, test case/script development and execution, test tracking, and test status reporting capability
· 5+ Years of total IT experience with minimum of 3+ years of experience as a performance Tester of a distributed application/services using Java/J2EE technologies
Skills Required – MUST HAVE
· Strong experience in using IBM Rational Performance Tester
· Experience in basic SQL Skills
· Experience with testing tools such as Rational Clear Quest (CQ)
· Experience in State Motor Vehicle projects a plus
· Thorough understanding of performance testing concepts and methodologies
· Possess strong problem solving skills
· Knowledge in SDLC and development process using Scrum methodologies
· Should be a very good listener and communicator
· Must be a team player; excellent written and communication skills is a must
· Ability to learn new tools & technologies quickly
