• Experience in installation and maintenance of VMware, KVM, Citrix Xen and OVM technologies.
• Experience in working with large VM farms in multiple locations
• Experience in automating the deployment of hypervisors and guest instances
• Experienced in supporting large persistent applications and databases in a virtual environment
• In-depth knowledge in various virtualization technologies including VMware, KVM, Citrix Xen, and OVM technologies
• In-depth knowledge in performing root cause analysis and resolution of hypervisor/guest failures.
• Knowledgeable in designing and implementing highly available and redundant VM environments.
• Maintain Application Virtualization Systems' health to ensure reliability of guest systems
• Enterprise level IT processes and procedures such as ticketing change control, ITIL processes.
• Implement strategies to increase reliability and decrease cost for Application Virtualization technology
• Document technical details of issues resolved and assist the team with building and maintaining technical repositories
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong, proven individual and team performer
• Attention to detail, ability to work within process and timelines
